Manifesto

Narrative Is Not Free

We believe that narrative is not something we simply tell.

It is something we build.

Images do not carry meaning on their own. They operate within systems that organize how meaning is produced.

These systems do not only enable meaning. They constrain it.

They shape what can be seen, what can be understood, and what can be remembered.

Across cultures and technologies, these systems change form, but their structural logic persists.

From ritual images to industrial sequences, from generative systems to language, meaning is never free.

It is conditioned.

To understand images is therefore not only to interpret them, but to recognize the systems that shape them.

Narrative is not a story.

It is a system.
